Whether you are performing inside the arena or out on the range, these horses have the minds & athletic ability to do it all and do it well. Our annual Horse Sale showcases registered Quarter Horses from the Proffit Ranch and friends. There will be more horses at the sale that may not be listed here.

"Joe" is a beautiful homozygous blue roan stallion and a recent addition to our breeding program.  He belongs to the Hams Fork Proffit Ranch.  He has been ridden and has a great disposition.  He is Blue Valentine bred stallion with great bone and confirmation.  His colts have been great to work with so far.

Playguns Bonanza

Playguns Bonanza is a classy Poco and Playgun bred buckskin dun stallion that is new to the Bear River Proffit Ranch.  He has been ridden and he's athletic and versatile.  His colts should be great athletes and performers.  We are excited about his breeding and can't wait to see more colts out of him.  So far his buckskin dun genes have shined through, as well as his keen head.

Faded Levi O Spear

Faded Levi is a unique line-back buckskin roan.  His sire, Flamingo Pine, has AQHA foundation bloodlines such as Whimpy and King as close as 5 generations back.  he is a grandson of Poco Pine, the 2nd leading AQHA champion sire.  Levi has been ridden and is a pleasure to ride, especially by the Proffit children.  He is noted for his great disposition, his free and easy movement, smoothness and especially his roping ability.  He is excellent at getting his rider in good roping position and handling a rope.  His offspring have been highly sought after as they are colorful, athletic, smart and good tempered.

Poco King Prom

Our reference sire, Poco King Prom, was a powerful buckskin dun stallion.  You will see his name in the pedigrees of most of our mares, and he is the grandfather of our Faded Levi stallion.  Poco King Prom has an impressive pedigree with foundation bloodlines such as King, Poco Bueno and Three Bars.

Showdown Twice

With Two Eyed Jack and Poco Pine, the two leading AQHA sires, only a few steps back on his pedigree sheet, Showdown's beautiful colts sold fast.  His colts have been incredibly smart, gentle and responsive.  Buyers came back time and again to purchase his offspring and tell us that "it shouldn't be this easy to train a colt." Showdown died in 2019, but many of his offspring are still around.
